Sweet Hawaiian-Style Sandwich

  • 1 package Tyson® Crafted Creations® Orange Peel Chicken Thigh Strips
  • ¼ c unsalted butter, divided
  • 1 (15 oz) can sliced peaches (3 fresh peaches), drained
  • 6 Hawaiian-style buns or French brioche buns
  • 8 oz diced or sliced pancetta
  • 6 slices gouda cheese
  • 3 tomatoes, sliced
  • 6 green leaf lettuce leaves

Orange peel chicken thigh strips skillet-seared and layered in toasted sweet Hawaiian-style buns with freshly charred peaches and tomato slices, crisp pancetta and green leaf lettuce.

  1. Heat a large skillet over high heat and cook the chicken strips until golden in color, about 10-15 minutes, set aside keeping warm.
  2. In the same skillet melt 1 tablespoon of butter and caramelize the peaches until charring begins, set aside. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter and toast two buns in the skillet until golden brown, repeat with remaining butter and buns. Set the buns aside keeping warm.
  3. Lastly, cook the pancetta in the same skillet until crisp about 5-7 minutes. Drain on a stack of clean paper towels.
  4. Build the sandwiches by layering the chicken in the buns topped with peaches, pancetta, cheese, tomato slices and lettuce.
