Pieces & Ends Beans

  • 1 package Tyson® Crafted Creations Pork Sparerib Mini-Racks Smokehouse or Applewood
  • 1 lb thick cut bacon, diced
  • ½ c onion, diced
  • 1 *peeled tomato
  • ½ Tbsp garlic paste
  • ¼ c brown sugar, packed
  • 1 can pinto beans, drained
  • Black pepper to taste

Spareribs cooked perfectly and paired alongside charred bacon pieces and ends slowly cooked in pinto beans with melted tomatoes.

  • Cook ribs according to package instructions.
  • *For peeled tomato; prepare an ice bath by filling a large bowl with ice and water, set aside. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Slice an “X” on opposite side on the core. Place the tomato in the boiling water for 30-40 seconds.
  • Carefully remove the tomato with a slotted spoon and immediately place into the ice bath. The skin will start pulling away from the meat of the tomato. Once the tomato is cooled, use a paring knife and carefully remove the skin. Remove the core and dice into small pieces.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook bacon with onions for 15-20 minutes or until natural juices are cooked out. Add ¼ c water to prevent burning, if needed.
Reduce heat to medium and stir in tomato and garlic. Continue cooking for an additional 2 minutes. Add sugar, melting into mixture. Add beans and season with pepper; heat for an additional 5 minutes. Serve with the ribs.
