Orange Jamaican Jerk-Style Chicken

  • 1 package Tyson® Crafted Creations® Orange Peel Chicken Thigh Strips
  • 2 Tbsp oil
  • ¼ c diced jalapeno
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ c diced red onion
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • ¼ tsp ground allspice
  • ¼ tsp ground cumin
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp fresh thyme leaves, divided
  • 1 c rice
  • 2 c water
  • 2 habanero peppers, minced

Orange peel chicken thigh strips take on the flavors of the Caribbean when sautéed with allspice, cinnamon, sweet onions and garlic. Served over white rice with habanero peppers and fresh thyme.

  1. Begin by cooking the rice in water according to package instructions.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat and cook the chicken strips until golden in color, about 10-15 minutes. Add in the jalapeno, garlic, onion, lime juice all spice, cumin, paprika and 1 teaspoon of thyme leaves in a small mixing bowl.
  3. Pour the chicken over the rice and finish with remaining thyme and habanero peppers.
