Steak & Pasta with Creamy Madeira Sauce

Ingredients
  • 1 (1 ¼-1 ½ lbs) pack Crafted Creations Mesquite Flat Iron Steak
  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • ½ c diced yellow onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 3 c sliced mushrooms
  • 1 (750 ml) bottle Madeira wine
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 (16 oz) package multi-grain pasta, cooked

Don’t settle for the same beef stroganoff any longer! With the same amount of time, prepare a savory sauce with Madeira wine, beef broth, heavy cream, mushrooms, and shallots. Pan sear steak, slice and toss in a skillet with sauce and your favorite multi-grain pasta for a complete meal the whole family will love.

  1. Cook flat iron according to package instructions, slice thin.
  2. While steak is cooking, heat oil in a large skillet over medium. Cook onions, garlic and mushrooms for 7-10 minutes or until tender. Pour in the wine and reduce by half, 15-20 minutes. Whisk in salt and pepper. Dredge the butter with the flour and whisk into sauce until thickening begins. Shingle the flat iron over hot pasta and finish with sauce.
